Debi Pellkofer was 11 years old and in the 5th grade when she began playing the flute. As a music therapy and flute performance major, she attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where she studied with Carol Mae Scott and Carol van Bronkhorst. She obtained her Masters in Performance with an emphasis on chamber music from the Aaron Copland School of Music in Queens, NY and went on to receive an Performing Artists Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music in NYC. She has won numerous prizes and awards including Artists International and has toured and performed in Italy and Greece. Debi has studied flute with Susan Greenberg Norman, Robert Stallman, Harold Bennet and has taken master classes with Jean Pierre Rampal, Michel DeBost, Carol Wincenc and Julius Baker. Debi was selected Teacher of the Year for the Escondido Union School District 2010-2011. In March 2011, she performed the Mozart Concerto in DM with the Poway Symphony. In addition to being principal flute in the PCSO, she does studio work and is an active chamber musician. Debi has taught elementary and middle school instrumental and classroom music. At B&H Music, Debi teaches flute, clarinet and alto saxophone. She has students from 7 to 87 years of age!

Juilliard Pre-College,B.M., Oberlin Conservatory; M.M., Cleveland Inst. of Music. Performed in Wolf Trap Performing Arts Center, New College Music Festival, Sarasota, Oberlin Summer Music Theater, Cleveland Orchestra's Blossom Festival, as Alternate in Chicago Symphony Civic Orchestra. Solo Clarinerist, Kurorchester Wildbad, Deutsche Folklore Ensemble, Radio Bremen Hafenorchester. Substitute clarinetist/saxophonist in Theater des Westens Berlin, Philharmonic Orchester Bremen, Landestheater Neustrelitz, and Munich State Opera. Currently teaching clarinet and saxophone in North County San Diego and performing in musicals.
